This is the metal-body route in the Termnex ordinary cable-gland range. The catalogue construction uses a nickel-plated brass body with PA66 clamping components and EPDM sealing components.
Start with the finished cable outside diameter. Then match the complete enclosure thread and usable mounting depth. A label such as M20 describes the mounting thread, not a 20 mm cable.

Measure cable outside diameter
Measure over the finished outer jacket. Choose a listed cable range that contains the diameter; do not select from conductor cross-section.
Identify the mounting thread
Use the complete designation, such as M20 × 1.5, PG16 or NPT 1/2. Similar nominal sizes are not automatically interchangeable.
Confirm construction and depth
Select PJ-A, semi-through or straight-through from the application requirement, then confirm panel thickness and usable thread engagement.

The named standard family has model codes across Metric, PG, G/PF and NPT rows. It is the clearest starting point when the application calls for an ordinary nickel-plated brass gland.
Semi-through
The scanned tables provide Metric, PG, G/PF and NPT size rows. Supplier model codes and the application distinction from straight-through still need quotation-stage confirmation.
Straight-through
The evidence-backed table provides Metric and PG rows only. G/PF or NPT versions are not copied from the semi-through table.
Not armoured / SWA
These are ordinary sealing and strain-relief cable glands. A2, CW, single-compression and double-compression armoured-cable terms are separate product constructions.

Does an M20 brass cable gland fit a 20 mm cable?
No. M20 identifies the mounting thread. For example, the listed PJ-A M20 options cover smaller cable ranges, including 6–12 mm and 10–14 mm.
Are brass cable glands and metal cable glands the same thing?
Metal cable gland is the broader term. This range specifically uses nickel-plated brass bodies; other metal glands may use stainless steel or different constructions.
Can these brass glands be used for armoured or SWA cable?
Not as an automatic substitute. A2, CW and compression glands include application-specific constructions for armoured cable; this page covers ordinary sealing and strain-relief glands.
Does the brass body provide EMC shielding or earthing?
